#EQUALIZER APO NOT WORKING AFTER WINDOWS UPDATE FULL#
I have a full AMD system, and the EQ function in iCUE is no longer working after updating to Windows 11 22H2. This may work for folks with Intel processors that have Intel SST, but does nothing for anyone else. This is not a bsod problem the equalizer simply does not work anymore. That article is about a completely different issue.

After restarting, please see if there is any improvement.Īnother option would be to roll back from Windows 11 22H2.Īs rreus pointed out, we have acknowledged the issues caused by Windows 11 update 22H2.

If updating the driver from Device Manager does not work - please try removing Intel SST and restarting your system. You can also attempt to update them via Device Manager if available, but that does not guarantee being provided with the proper driver version.

If the Intel SST drivers versions below are available, then download + install them: The workaround is similar to what we suggest in our help article above, please check with your system manufacturer's (OEM) website to see if there is an updated Intel SST driver available for installation. You may determine if your Intel SST driver is affected by opening Device Manager>System Devices>Intel® Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) Audio Controller and look for file name IntcAudioBus.sys and a file version of 10. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and last provided an update here on September 22, 2022.

How to: Fix conflict between iCUE audio equalization and Windows 11 – Corsair I dont see how they can say it is only affecting intel processors, I have a 3900X and it affecting my system too, This has got to get fixed soon, or all we can do is just flood Corsair with support tickets to fix their software issue. Now what is interesting is I downloaded the Dolby Access app form Microsoft store for a free trial, and that does work it is not as good a sound I had with icue, but better than nothing for the time being, so there is something not playing nice with even with the new icue update. Ive uninstalled audio drivers, uninstalled icue 3 times, deleted the profiles folders and all Icue settings in sub folders, and nothing, its driving me bonkers, because as you all know the sound is bloody awful without equalizer functionality, dam I even tried installing the legacy version of icue and that didnt work either. I have the Virtuoso se headset, since I updated to windows 11 22H2, I'm getting nothing, equalizers dont work none of the pre-sets work. Honestly i dont even know what is going on anymore with this windows update. I installed eq apo and peace and did everything u mentioned, but somehow still my sound doesnt change at all no matter what i do. I am not be any means an expert at this this, it is my first time touching this level of equalizer software ever, I just wrote exactly what I did to help people. It went right over ICUE and windows mains this as an equalizer instead of ICUE, at least that is what I think it is doing.

Boom your done, you can adjust everything else according to your liking, and you can even make different profiles and hotkey them, and even choose you specific headset and get a preset specific to that headset. Now remember the decibel dots from earlier match those with the sliders. Now the sliders should match the frequencies in ICUE, and even more advanced than it. on the top there are frequencies some are the same as ICUE some are different, but that doesn't matter you can change it anyway all the frequencies can be changed, to stick with my profile that I liked I went like this from let to right 8 16 32 64 4000 8000 16000 20000 21000 22000. Ok now that you know what that is lets get that into Peace. You don't even need to open the first one (besides from installing it of course) then install Peace and choose either simple or advanced (I used advanced so this is what I will use for reference) once in the application it may seem overwhelming at first but lets start by opening ICUE and going to the equalizer, if you want to copy your profile as best you can (made better my case with a little tweaking), now look at the graph, you can hover over the dots to see what decibel levels they are and on the bottom is their respected frequencies.
#EQUALIZER APO NOT WORKING AFTER WINDOWS UPDATE HOW TO#
Ok since there are so many people experiencing this issue I though to try one last ditch effort with something I don't even know how to use, yes it is ridiculous that this has to be done when Corsair/Microsoft should have had this delt with by now given the insane push for Windows 11, but anyway ******** the stock software it was garbage anyway, so lets use open source, download Equalizer APO here and the UI improvement Peace Equalizer here TEMP SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME 100% ( I also think that this is 10x better)
